By default every nation is always vulnerable, but this doesn’t mean anything until the nation is Diplomacy Eligible (at least 1 town is level 10 or above). Upon reaching town level 9 in your first town you will gain access to the Battlemaster who will allow you set your vulnerability hours. You are required to be vulnerable for 8 hours per week. During your vulnerability hours you are able to be sieged or have an outpost battle declared if you are at war.
Camps are auto-buildable protected structures that provide a temporary spawnpoint to every player in your nation. These structures are also used to declare Outpost Battles as well as Town Sieges.
As mentioned, these structures are totally protected, meaning no blocks that are a part of the auto-build structure can be broken whatsoever. New blocks can be added to fortify the structure however.
Outpost Battles are 5v5 capture-the-zone events that are fought around a placed outpost. There are 3 zones and owning or controlling the zone grants you points per second. The first side to 1000 points wins the battle.
You can declare a battle by placing a Camp within a few chunks of the defending outpost and clicking on the spawner within the camp to select the outpost as your target for attack.
There are 3 phases to a battle:
Prelude - A battle has been declared! A 5 minute countdown begins - there are no players in the zone and the battlefield gets prepared for the impending battle. Make sure to register for the battle by talking to the Battlemaster!
Battle - The battle begins, players will be teleported to their respective spawn structure at the beginning of this phase. You can teleport to a battle by interacting with the barracks landmark at any point during this phase provided you are registered for the battle. Now you must fight to capture the 3 zones that are generated on the battlefield.
Postlude - The battle has ended, an exit portal has spawned at your side’s respective spawn structure that you can enter to instantly teleport back to your town.
The battle will end when either the max score is reached (1000) or the time runs out. In the case of the time running out, the side with the higher score will win.
Once the Battle ends the following things can happen:
An additional point about battles:
While the Nations system allows for players to claim land that is block-protected, the Siege system allows for Nations to attack each other’s towns, and temporarily disable those protections to launch brutal, large-scale assaults!
