Outposts are an important tool used for claiming vast swathes of territory for your nation to expand your influence without needing to expand the claimed land of your towns. Outposts serve to fill the gaps in between your towns and to connect your nation together, along with providing an extra protective layer to your towns.
The following are the benefits that owning outposts and territory provide.
Outposts provide soft land claims that allow territory owners to use their territory as they wish, but any foreign players’ interactions with their territory will result in block regeneration following 24 hours of each interaction excluding items. Items on the ground or in containers are not protected within outpost claims.
Any foreign players that gather valuable resources within your territory, on each gathering interaction, have a chance to duplicate the resources they earned from that block and dispense it into your town’s town stash.
Foreign players cannot claim anything that overlaps with your outposts, so you can create a buffer zone of territory to help protect your future town expansions.
The size of an outpost’s claim is the same size as an initial town’s creation claim. This means that the size of the claim would be 13x13 chunks.
