What should I do first?

When you first join the server, you’ll spawn in the Void, where you’ll be able to choose which tutorial you want to do. (For new players, the Full Tutorial is highly recommended, as it will offer significantly more in-game assistance.)

Both tutorials will eventually bring you to the spawn city of New Nauru, where you’ll learn about Nations. Becoming a part of a Nation, whether joining an existing one or starting your own, is the best way to begin your Atlas experience. Nations provide land claims (called Towns), which offer significant perks and buffs as they’re leveled up.

Joining an existing Nation

The tutorial will bring you to the Hall of Nations in New Nauru, where you can view all the Player Nations currently active on Atlas. Right-click the pedestal display beneath a Nation’s banner to read the information posted by its leaders.

To request to join a Nation, simply click on the Request Invite button on their display. Alternatively, you can reach out to a Nation’s leaders directly to request an invite.

Founding your own Nation

After completing the tutorial, speak to Captain Horatio at the Hall of Nations to found your very own Nation - all that’s required is a name!

A Nation itself does not provide any land - but a Nation can found up to 5 Towns on the continent of Athera. Towns are land-claims that can be expanded, leveled up, and even fought over.

Founding a Nation will grant you a free Town Hall Spawner. This item can be used to claim your very first Town on Athera! Simply travel to an unclaimed area of wilderness, and right-click with the Town Hall Spawner on the spot you want to found your Town.

Exploring the world of Atlas

Outside of Player Nations, there’s plenty to explore throughout the world of Atlas! NPC Towns across the world contain quests, merchants, dungeons, lorebooks, and other secrets waiting to be discovered.

The best way to make money when starting out is to play through the Main Quest Campaigns. To start a Main Quest Campaign, speak to a Recruiter in any of the NPC Capitals (Telaria, Eastwind, & Port Qi’Shen), or the New Naurulian Crier in New Nauru!
